My hair has always grown super fast and it`s probably because since my teens I have always been throwing olive oil, eggs or something nourishing and natural in my hair on lazy nights in.
Since my teens, I`ve tested tons of natural hair treatments, including my latest: Not shampooing or styling my hair for ONE MONTH!! (More about that experience to come) There are LOADS of different recipes out there- here are just a few for YOU! AAxo #1. Rosemary Hair Elixir Rosemary has so many great properties that encourage healthy looking hair. I`ve used the straight up essential oil as an ingredient in the past, but if you are not experience with to using essential oils or have good quality oils, a much safer method would be to use the 2 tsp of rosemary crushed well using a mortar and pestle and added to 300ml of water. Directions: 1 drop of rosemary essential oil to 50 ml coconut oil. Apply mixture to hair, let sit, shampoo and condition. #2. Castor Oil This oil is great for nourishing and encouraging healing + repair of all hair ( I most often use this oil on my eyelashes!) Directions: Apply several drops of Castor Oil into your scalp and massage in. I usually sleep with this one over night. You can wrap hair to protect pillow case from oil stains. #3. Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse Removes build up from the scalp and hair and leaves the hair shiny! Directions: Mix one part vinegar to two parts water. #4. Olive Oil + Egg Yolks Super nourishing Hair Treatment, great for any hair type, but I love for dry hair. Directions: 2 Egg Yolks with 2 tbsp of Olive Oil. Massage into hair. Let set for 20 minutes, rinse. -AAxo

AAxo BAKING SODA has so many unreal BEAUTY BENEFITS- not to mention it`s cheap as hell and is better for the environment!
Think I`m crazy to be using this household cleaner on my skin, teeth and hair? Well I`m not the only one- famous beauties such as Emma Stone, Queen Latifah and Jessica Alba have been known to use this miracle product- and they have the money to use the best of the best. The cheap household product has been in my beauty regimen for years now- but I am finely brave enough to share this secret now that eco products and natural products are more popular than EVER. Some ways you can use baking soda: Shampoo: Use instead of a liquid lather shampoo Facial Cleanser: Mix with equal parts water for an exfoliating cleanser Body Scrub: Mix olive oil & coconut oil together with baking soda Lip Scrub: Mix Olive Oil with Baking Soda Teeth Whitener: Make a paste with water and brush teeth (be sure to spit out and thoroughly rinse) Baking Soda not only has numerous benefits on the skin but also reduces the pollution on the environment. Many Skin care products out there are laden with chemicals that simply wash away down the drain and into our water, not to mention leave a chemical residue on our skin and is then absorbed into our bodies. Happy CHEAP-ASS miracle beauty treatment to us ;) -AAxo Since about the age of 15 I have been putting Vaseline on my eyelashes to make them look healthier, longer and softer.
Of course, I later learned better about the cruel ingredients of the gruesome product that is Vaseline and switched to using castor oil or vitamin-->both were great. Present day, I now combine all my previous experience into a jam-packed healthy eyelash doozy~ DIY eyelash serum: -1 Tsp Vitamin E -1 Tsp of Castor Oil -1/2 Tsp Aloe Vera Combine in a droplet bottle and use a clean mascara wand to sweep through lashes. Insiders Tip: For an au natural day out and about, give your lashes a break from the tar filled mascara, use an eye lash curler to create an eye opening effect and apply your serum for a gloss and lengthening finish. Strut those pretty doe eyes off and bat those lashes! Mad Healthy Eyelash Love, AAx Photo Credit: beauty.allwomenstalk.com #1. Soften Lips.
Bust open a vitamin E capsule and slather a good helping on your lips. Vitamin E is super nourishing and healing but takes a little while to penetrate- so apply it on your pucker before bed time and wake up to soft kissable lips. Photo Credit: deviantart.com #2. Treat your Visage. Depending on your skin type you can use a variety of beautiful natural oils to give your skin a dewy, plump and healthily hydrated wake up! Dry/Mature Skin: Sweet Almond Oil, Rosehip Oil Oily Skin: Jojoba Oil Sensitive Skin: Avocado Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil *For more oil suggestions, recipes or help choosing one right for you skin, contact us directly #3. Moisturize Hands. Most often the moisturizer we put on during the day to hydrate the hands is washed off with daily activities; doing dishes, washing hands, ruffling through paper work, etc. Not to mention the environmental factors that draw out the moisture of exposed skin leaving hands dry or even cracking. Pure Shea Butter or Olive Butter are awesome rich skin softeners- place solid form in hands to melt and massage into the hands and slip on gloves. #4. Nourish Hair, Have you heard of coconut oil?! If you haven't you have been living under a rock- seriously this exotic nut has people going wild with all its healthy benefits. Place a tbsp. of solid coconut oil in hands to warm and melt- once it is in it's liquid form work through the hair. For extra dry hair; add in a little castor oil and Shea butter for a more rich treatment. #5. Coiffe. Shower at night allowing time for your hair to air dry. Just before bed loosely pin your hair in 2 buns; separate the hair into two, parting where you prefer your hairline to fall. Gently twist each of the sections and pin into a bun. Sleep on them and when you wake in the morning, remove the pins and finger toss the hair- revealing effortless, beautiful locks. #6. Silky Eyes. Ever notice the lines and fabric imprints on your face from a dead slumber? Not with satin sheets you won't! Sounds ridiculous but the fibres in silk and satin are obviously much more soft and therefore much more gentle on the skin- therefore decreasing the amount of harsh fabrics rubbing against the skin and potential break down of elasticity. #7. Whiten Teeth. DIY- Baking Soda; Brush mixture over teeth, leave for 5 minutes. Rinse Thoroughly. Great treatment to do before bed time because it is recommended to hold off from eating or drinking for an hour afterwards- so you can just sleep that hour away! #8. Lengthen Lashes. Using an old mascara wand (cleaned thoroughly with warm water so all mascara residue has been removed)- apply a small amount of castor oil to bristles and sweep through lashes for an overnight lash repair. #9. Soften Feet. Shower before bed- using a pumice stone to dry spots on feet; concentrating on heels and balls of feet. Just before bed apply a rich body butter ( shea butter and olive oil or castor oil mixed together is a great one)- slip on socks to prevent grease from staining your sheets, let the overnight slumber allow the mixture to penetrate into your tootsies and wake up with seriously soft feet. #10. Rest. Nothing looks more beautiful on a women than a good nights restful slumber. Try sleeping with aromatherapy diffusers. Place 1-3 drops of lavender or chamomile in the water and let the aroma send you off to la-la land. *if you are using a candlelit diffuser it is recommended that you diffuse the room an hour before bedtime so you are not falling asleep with lit candles. www.andreaashley.ca #andreaashley @byandreaashley
