Camel pose looks beautiful and feels amazing.
It is one of the poses in yoga that actually incorporates nearly every part of the body, weather it be stretching or strengthening- it is working it someway, somehow. Benefits
Camel Pose is also known to have therapeutic benefits that help fight fatigue, anxiety, backache, and menstrual pains. Some Self Love (or anti-insanity) Tips I have learned over the years:
1) Never talk bad about yourself 2) Don't be afraid to say "no" 3) Don't be afraid to say "yes" either 4) Trust your gut (#4 is Probably my personal #1 lesson and a reoccurring lesson that continues to be taught to me over and over again) 5) Let go of people who don't support or love you for who you are 6) Take down time for yourself- do something you love, something that relaxes, nourishes and recharges your body and mind 7) Jealousy is the most ugly and evil of all states a human can possess. Let it go. Think of all the blessings you have in your life that others don't. Be grateful. 8) Lack of respect is up there too. You don't have to agree or be on the same page as someone else to treat them with respect. No respect for others= not a part of my life. 9) Let go and Forgive. You are doing more harm to yourself than the other person to hold onto a grudge or anger. 10) Do what you love for a living. Most people who I have encountered through life who are down in the dumps or stressed often are complaining of their place of employment or what they do for a living. Take ownership and CHANGE that. Find your passion and go for it. The world is a happier place when more people in it are individually happy. Extra Tip: Love as MUCH as you can. Fall in love with yourself, fall in love with others, with nature, with your home, with your work. Fill up your cup with blissful, joyous LOVE. Love yourself and others wholeheartedly and with stupid bonkers amount of passion. Love love, AAxo For those of you with back pain, you can understand how it feels to want some relief without constantly taking medication to numb the pain. Being someone who has had back pain since the age of 12 I can relate and thought I would share a couple of yoga poses that help me.
Of course the go-to back postures are usually a flowing cat-cow. While I ALWAYS use these to warm up the spine and begin to stretch out the back, I have to say coming into some deeper twists and poses make me feel the best. 2 of my fav's: Revolved Side Angle Pose (Parivtta Parsvakonasana) or revolved triangle for less work on the thigh muscles. Plough Pose (Halasana) These poses stretch my back just that little more, creating space between the vertebrae giving me that "ahhh" relief as I sit in the pose and breath deeply sending oxygen to these much needed areas. Additional poses for back pain: Fish Half Lord of The Fishes Pose Reclined Twist However, everyone has back pain in different areas and are caused by a different reasoning, always check in with your instructor, natural health practitioner or chiropractor first before trying a new pose to make sure these movements will work for you. Oodles of love for my back pain sufferers, AAxo |
